Squeeze

Why see Squeeze?

Tried, Tested And Trixies Tour

With special guest, Billie Bragg

Squeeze came to prominence during the New Wave movements of the 1970s and found themselves a modest but loyal following throughout the intervening years.

Their biggest chart hits include Cool For Cats and Up The Junction, as well as American chart placers Tempted, Hourglass, and 853-5937. In 2010 they issued Spot the Difference, an album of newly recorded versions of older material. By creating some of the best-loved songs of their generation, they have paved the way for many of today's most successful indie-pop acts. Now with their new studio album'Trixies' on the horizon, catch them live!

Badly Drawn Boy & Squeeze

First time seeing both acts and first visit to Leas Cliff Hall. This was the penultimate show of their tour and both acts were excellent. However, Badly Drawn Boy was spoilt by half the crowd talking throughout his performance. His comments about how noisy it was were ignored (or possibly not even heard over the noise) by those selfish people who feel their conversation is more important. If they are not interested in the support act they should have stayed in the bar until Squeeze came on. Poor manners and a total lack of respect for such an accomplished artist and those who wished to listen to him. Embarrassing Folkestone. Based on the performances alone I would have given 5 stars but will not be in a hurry to return to Leas Cliff Hall. ... Read more
